A native of Quebec, Canada, pianist Chantale Gagné began her musical journey at the age of 8. At 15, jazz piano becomes her passion. In 2005, inspired by her meeting with Kenny Barron, she decides to accomplish herself both as a composer and a pianist. Her 2008 release “Silent Strength”, recorded with Peter Washington on bass and Lewis Nash on drums has been met with great reviews from several jazz magazines and radio stations from all over the world. “Wisdom Of The Water” released in September 2010, demonstrates a different sound with a strong folk/heartland influence. Vibes player Joe Locke, bassist Peter Washington and drummer Lewis Nash are featured on this new album.
